The Therapist was born from Joana's personal quest to rediscover balance between body, mind, and life. Her journey led her to explore three dimensions that changed the way she lived: functional food, integrative therapies, and practical knowledge about the body.

By sharing this path, she realized that her need was, after all, the need of many. Thus, The Therapist was born, not as a restaurant, but as a functional wellness project that believes transformation begins in daily life, through conscious and repeated choices.

Mission

EAT WITH PURPOSE is The Therapist's invitation to a more conscious, informed, and authentic relationship with food.

We believe that what you eat can be the starting point for mental clarity, stable energy, and presence in your daily life.

We don't want to control your plate, but rather provide you with tools, knowledge, and flavor so that you can choose with intention rather than out of guilt, confusion, or trends.

Eating can be an act of genuine self-care, without moralizing, without perfectionism, and without nutribullshit.

A simple, daily, and powerful gesture: nourishing the body to free the mind.

Joana Teixeira | Founder of The Therapist

Vision

Joana wasn't born drinking kefir and kombucha.

For years, she lived on autopilot: coffee to keep going, bread to survive, and guilt at dessert.

She was exhausted and couldn't understand why her body and mind had stopped collaborating. The change began when she started seeing food as a tool. She realized the direct impact of what was on her plate on her focus, energy, mood, skin, sleep, and mental clarity. She studied functional nutrition and integrative therapies and found her purpose.

That is how The Therapist was born: not to “cure” anyone, but to help each person find their own answers, starting with the most basic and universal gesture: eating.

Manifesto

Eating shouldn't be a struggle, nor an exercise in guilt.
But it shouldn't be automatic either.
The Therapist exists to break this cycle.
To restore intention to your plate and clarity to your body.
We don't sell miracles, we don't feed guilt.
Only conscious choices, real flavor, and consistent results.
Well-being is not a destination, it is a daily practice.
And it starts with what you put on your plate.

EAT WITH PURPOSE.
